Lent Observations 16

The gate to nowhere. It made me laugh at first. And then it made me wonder. Why is it here? Why, if it used to be attached to a fence and isn’t anymore, is it still standing here on it’s on? I like it, though. And the other random thing is, it is in a very random location next to a river where there really seems to be no need for a fence in the first place.

I like how it is the human-made next to the natural. I like that they now blend together. The gate has become part of it’s natural surroundings.

Can we do the same? Can we blend in with our natural surroundings? Can we actually look after our natural surroundings and be at one with them? Can we all agree to look after our planet better than we currently do?
