Lent Observations 45

Good Friday. It’s always a funny day, feeling like you shouldn’t be having fun because you should be mourning.

But I had a lovely tea date with a dear friend, and enjoyed just putting my feet up and relaxing for a bit. A lazy pasta dinner and an early night – just what was needed.

It has been hard recently to find time just to chill out. Whether it’s lazy dinners, little walks or trying to read (book group night coming up!), it had been tricky to do. I feel like 2016 has been very fast paced so far, with a lot of mileage covered. It has all been good – from Glasgow to North Berwick to Durham to Dunkeld to America to Balquhidder to Iona – I’ve covered a fair amount of miles. Wonderful miles, but maybe a little too much for less than 3 months.
